Photo Sketches
My wife Amy and I went for a short nature hike through Bishop’s Bog and the Eliason Nature Reserve today. I brought my camera long, not expecting to bring back any great photos (I didn’t), but to instead return with some photo sketches. In the same way an artist who draws or paints carries a sketchbook and doodles in some lines - with no intention of keeping or displaying them to others, they’re just practice. Practice at seeing things and translating them to paper. That’s what these are: practice shots in my photo sketchbook. One can’t expect to improve at anything without practice.
